Mixed-Gender Adult Interpersonal Therapy Group

Group therapy can be an incredibly effective and transformative experience for individuals seeking support and personal growth. Engaging in group therapy provides a unique opportunity to connect with others who may be facing similar challenges, fostering a sense of camaraderie and understanding. Within the supportive environment of a group therapy setting, participants are encouraged to share their experiences, emotions, and insights, enabling them to gain a deeper understanding of their own behavioral patterns and personal struggles. Through honest and open communication, individuals can receive feedback, encouragement, and diverse perspectives from others, ultimately enhancing their self-awareness and promoting positive change. In this collaborative setting, the power of shared experiences, encouragement, and support becomes an invaluable tool in promoting personal healing and growth.

My groups focus on the emotional ties that develop between you and the other members of the group. Members are encouraged to explore connections with each other: relational dynamics are displayed, observed and discussed in real time. By experiencing and examining your interactions in the here-and-now, a picture of you and every other member emerges of the way you interact with each other in the group; creating a safe environment to take interpersonal risks. This leads to greater self-understanding, as well as learning about you in your relationships - what helps and what hinders having more satisfying relationships. Group is a safe, confidential place to learn about your relationship patterns and help you change and feel better.

*Note for therapists: If you have a patient in mind, or someone you know that may be appropriate for one of these groups, please let me know. It is a pleasure to collaborate with other therapists. Group can serve as an effective adjunct to individual therapy or as a valuable next step.

If your insurance has out-of-network mental health benefits, this group is reimbursable.
